Widow's Pension is Not Enough
The wives of soldiers left to our system leaves them little or no choice when a soldier is killed in action, or comes home with illness. Our system, most often, forces them to abandon their homes, lifestyles, and offers them little assistance, expecting single mothers & their kids to survive in ghetto-like conditions of scarcity and neglect.
Education, Security, Careers, and Childcare
Many mothers are forced to work low paying jobs in an attempt to take care of children and all the bills alone. Gaining a college education and career becomes only a dream. Often times the children are left alone too, when they need love and supervision. BRJF wants to help subsidize education, child care, empowerment, small business grants, and make dreams and goals a reality.
Subsidize Empowerment & Self Sufficiency
Many moms are forced to work below their higher excellence to simply keep food on the table & pay for the many expenses involved with raising children. Even with public assistance, families still live in want, need, and don't have the money for basic needs; such as a family car, insurance, laptops, and clothing. Helping with these items, can help make a dream come true. Being able to drive to college, leave the kids off at school, and give them warm winter coats does make a difference.
